Absences and Tardiness

The Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program is an intensive course; it discourages excessive absenteeism. All classes are mandatory and absences should be considered only for emergencies. Missed classes shall be made up in order to complete the required number of hours, for both theory and clinical, otherwise the student cannot graduate. Notification of absences should be done at least one hour before the start of a scheduled class, either by calling the AHTC coordinator or any staff member or the class' instructor.

Missing more than 20 minutes of class is considered tardy. Tardiness or 3 or more occasions will be considered excessive and the student must undergo make-up class hours (both theory and clinical) upon arrangements with AHTC administration and approval from the instructor.
